Sales Manager Job Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for building a sales pipeline and developing a high-performance team in the construction and facilities maintenance field. The position requires working as both a team player and a coach, and possess the skills to produce sales as well as train and motivate a dynamic sales team towards success. This position oversees planning, scheduling, budgeting, selection and oversight of the sales team. This position develops sales objectives and goals, manages sales team members and keeps Senior Management informed on all progress.
Job Duties:
- Maintain responsibility for performance of all sales activities within an assigned territory
- Establish and strategically build a solid customer base
- Recruit, train, and motivate a sales team toward hitting specified sales goals
- Set team goals and conduct performance reviews with all team members
- Provide strong leadership to achieve maximum profitability and growth in conjunction with company goals
- Lead by example and close a high percentage of the leads that you and your team generate
- Continually analyze the sales process in an effort to refine and improve its success, and work with upper management to establish a sales reporting framework
- Identify, establish and set up a lead management system
- Strive to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction with all customer interactions
- Willing to travel on a daily basis (local driving throughout PA, DE, NJ, and MD)
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction and/or facilities maintenance is highly preferable
- 4 years of sales team management experience
- Candidate will need to manage multiple leads at once
- Develop a high-performance team through feedback, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- Provide leadership in contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules.
- A positive attitude and desire to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
- Strong track record of accomplishments and promotions in the Sales field
- Highly personable, with the ability to quickly build relationships
Additional Skills:
- Competent user of general office software, and Gmail and Google Docs specifically
- Familiarity with lead / CRM systems such as HubSpot
- Adapt quickly to changing environments
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 per year
