Day to Day
As a Risk CAMS Analyst, you will be responsible for both Compliance and Operations monitoring of several internal processes and controls which ensure DLL is offering best in class services which are compliant and accurate. The individual selected will monitor and refine an effective Quality Assurance (QA) program for Des Moines Operations in collaboration with affected department leadership in order to establish monitoring of internal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
In addition to general process Quality Assurance audits, this individual will work with the Des Moines Compliance team to assess customer compliance risk to prevent fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanction breaches, and reputational risk. This individual will perform the required due diligence in accordance with established regulatory requirements as documented in company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Responsible for:
In collaboration with Des Moines Operations team leadership, complete Quality Assurance audits and monitoring to ensure applicable Policies, procedures, and Guidelines are adhered to during day to day operations. Responsibility for Quality Assurance monitoring in several functions within Operations includes but is not limited to:
- Perform inbound Call Monitoring activity for Customer Service and Collection Departments.
- Perform booked contract audits for F&A and CTI Retail activity.
- Perform quality control audits on automated customer activity (i.e. automatic withdrawal information and e-invoicing activity).
- Perform telephone pre-funding audits.
- Complete accuracy reviews for Retail and IF new dealer and vendor entries.
In collaboration with Des Moines Compliance Team, complete activity related to Know Your Customer (KYC) activity, including but not limited to:
- Review and validate Customer identification information to satisfy our Know Your Customer requirements.
- Review and determine structure and transaction risk, validate customer source of funds and other customer or transactional attributes.
- Perform customer searches to identify adverse news and identify potential reputational risks.
- Validate the Customer Compliance Risk Rating.
- Perform and clear Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and OFAC alerts.
Additional responsibilities crossing both Compliance and Operations QA functions include:
- Identify areas for continuous process improvement and communicate opportunities to supervisor.
- Document, organize, and present findings to Compliance Department and Operations Team leadership.
- Assist in investigating potential violations of company policies or other alleged wrongdoing.
- Develop and deliver reporting and monitoring dashboards for Compliance and Operations function in Des Moines to Compliance and Operations leadership.
- Assist in training and development for members as needed.
Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree with Business or Legal curriculum - a comparable combination of education, and experience (including military service) may be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services, operational risk, or banking compliance a strong plus.
- Ability to research business operations and analyze data.
- Organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail in high volume environment.
- Ability to succeed in a team based working environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers including the ability to overcome objections and develop sound relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage day to day activities including organizing and prioritizing work.
- Strong internet navigation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and Word.
