What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at DLT Solutions?
Job Purpose:
The Data Analyst , as part of the IT development team, will be responsible for the design, deployment and administration of business intelligence and reporting resources in support of DLT’s internal user base, partners, and customers. Strong technical experience and familiarity with Microsoft’s Power BI platform is essential, with secondary emphasis on supporting/integrating technologies such as SSRS, SharePoint, Excel, or other heterogeneous data sources. Some background in programming or data modeling is beneficial. The candidate will also need to successfully collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across organizational departments, from staff to management to the executive team. This includes the analysis of requirements and functional specifications to design, build, test, implement and support corrections or enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Analyzes business requirements across multiple business areas including the evaluation of application software packages. (15%)
Devises and modifies procedures to solve business problems. (15%)
Codes and configures application components and interfaces (15%)
Coordinates and schedules change control and production verification processes. Prepares required documentation. (15%)
Ensures that all programming / configuration adheres to corporate standards, and all integration issues are identified and addressed, as well as version control of deliverables. (15%)
Ensures business applications are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices. (15%)
Performs additional duties as assigned (10%)
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of relevant technical work experience
Bachelors Degree, with Computer Science / MIS field of study preferred
Firm foundation in basic mathematical and statistical knowledge
Generalized information technology skills at an intermediate to advanced level
- Familiarity and technical experience with the following:
· Power BI
- SQL Server technologies (SSRS, SSMS, etc)
- SharePoint
- Excel
- Ability to perform the following in a professional and responsive manner:
- Prioritize and organize tasks
· Execute instructions and request clarification when needed
· Communicate clearly and convey necessary information
· Present to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback
· Understand security controls and requirements
- Analyze and solve technical problems within scope of responsibility
