Junior Email Developer

The Jr. Email Developer will work under the leadership of DMi’s Associate Director of Email Marketing and will aid a rapidly growing department of the overall DMi team. As our Jr. Email Developer, you will develop responsive email templates that are customized to our client's needs. You will collaborate with the email strategy team to develop templates that will allow the team to execute on the client’s overall goals for the email channel.

DMi’s Email team is a hardworking group that manages the email marketing strategy and execution for major consumer brands. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Email Developer to strengthen the email team’s execution of ongoing projects. You will build tailored templates, correspond with the email team to answer questions, and adjust when needed. A consistent queue of projects fueled by client needs will be your responsibility. You will utilize our project management software, existing policies, and procedure to execute projects promptly.

You will be trained and educated on the quality and work we have done so far as well as contribute to future planning. This will be an opportunity to utilize your skillset on projects with major brands and clients. In this role, you will hone your skills in the consistent and steady email space.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Required Skills:

• You are proficient with HTML & CSS
• You can develop custom, responsive, and dark-mode-compatible email templates with creative design files provided
• You have 2 years developing and optimizing email marketing templates in an ESP like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Bronto, Iterable, Emarsys, Braze, Responsys Oracle
• You are familiar with MSO Conditionals for Outlook, bulletproof backgrounds, and you develop your emails using tables instead of divs
• You can quickly troubleshoot HTML rendering errors across several email clients
• You understand email QA practices across tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid
• You possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity and push through to completion of all client projects

Preferred Skills:

• You can navigate various ESP instances to develop and/or optimize emails leveraging existing client templates
• You are a self-starter that can develop, optimize, troubleshoot several email templates in a fast work environment with a growing team
• You are always finding solutions to enhance your development best practices
