A Business Director at DNA leads and manages client engagement across their accounts. They foster close relationships with key clients, providing leadership in developing strategic plans that grow client business and generate incremental agency billings and income. The ideal person takes action without direction and is passionate about driving cross-functional teams to deliver integrated customer journeys.
This person is digitally native with an insatiable appetite for data and a restless pursuit of how to apply it to drive success. We’re looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of how paid, earned, and owned marketing channels integrate, and has experience developing agency recommendations based on a review of business and marketing analytics.
The Business Director oversees situational analysis, brand planning, the development of strategic marketing plans, and the implementation of tactical plans. The role best suits those who are tenacious, resilient, entrepreneurial, and possess strong leadership and influencing skills. They are the person who heads turn to for direction when things get ambiguous or challenging.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-Leads and develops DNA’s relationship with core clients, and makes other client contacts to strengthen the agency/client relationship
-Work with clients to uncover business needs and objectives, develop appropriate strategies, and identify/implement solutions to help achieve client goals
-Provide independent thinking to clients to suggest new, unexplored solutions to client challenges, and to build organic growth beyond existing engagement
-Leads large-scale, multi-market, multi-platform, multi-product campaigns, activations, and brand experiences across internal and client stakeholder teams
-In partnership with integrated media, manages key performance metrics through multiple streams of monthly campaign reporting
-Serves as an integrator of communications, budgets, and initiatives across large complex client marketing department
-Leads client presentations to drive projects forward and help unearth new ones
-Owns and oversees the account and client financials by managing budgets, performing monthly forecasting, and resolving budgetary conflicts
-Serves as the go-to person for new team members joining the account
-Mentor and manage staff development, career paths, reviews, and hiring
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-10( ) years in advertising agency account management or related experience in leading projects and managing creative teams and clients
-Proven track record running large engagements with large clients and complex organizations
-Experience with various industries, financial services, and other regulated industries is a plus
-Strong leadership skills
-Experience in a performance-driven environment, especially with marketing analytics and reporting
-Strong financial stewardship skills
-Superior project management skills
-Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
-Excellent organizational skills
SALARY & BENEFITS
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, level of responsibility, education, location, and current salary market data to determine equitable salary placement.
Base salary range at the time of this job posting: $120,000 - $165,000/ DOE
*Variable Compensation based on performance metrics

LOCATION
Seattle Office: DNA is working a Hybrid schedule, with required in office days are Tuesdays & Thursdays of each week for employees who live in the Seattle metro region. This role is required to be in Seattle, WA. Relocation offered
