The position is based in Mumbai, India and local employment conditions apply. Our Fleet in Service team is responsible for delivering surveys through various ports across India, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh.

You will be leading a highly motivated and dedicated team of surveyors.
General:
- The FIS Group Leader reporting to District Manager India, Srilanka & Bangladesh, will be responsible to in leading the team and shall plan, co-ordinate, support, follow-up and improve station operations, in order to achieve DNV & Unit goals.
- Contribute to global FiS success in large, with focus on safety, quality, implementation, and results.
- FIS Group Leader shall engage and support customer technical queries, including efforts towards customers to manage quality and market needs.
Responsibilities / Expectations:

- Carry out Surveys/Audits on board vessels for 40-50% of work week

- Follows up and ensures that requests received from external customers are responded to as promptly as possible.

- Sets and clearly communicates priorities and goals for the unit and team members.
- Responds to internal requests promptly.
- Plans, allocates and delegates work effectively.
Position Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Hold an Academic degree in Naval Architecture\Marine Engineering or Equivalent.
- Proven track record in Maritime Industry with experience in Classification Fleet in Service operations an advantage.
- FiS Survey and Audit competence / experience.
- Enjoy solving problems & find solutions.
- Put customers and their needs at the centre of our services.
- Experience in helping teams achieve targets, or leading changing processes is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
