Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Technical Editor/Policy Guidance Specialist - Principal to support the client. The candidate supports the development of guides, instructions, and standard operating procedures. Preparations, organizes, and maintains documents, including technical, projects, services, and contracting paperwork. Writes, edits, reviews and/or revises a variety of technical articles, plans, reports, white papers, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation covering a wide range of uses and publication in support of the mission.
Duties
- Edits and prepares complex documents for signature and final delivery
- Applies writing and editing skills and substantial knowledge of the basic principles and specialized vocabulary of appropriate subject-matter fields to the accurate communication of scientific and technological information to expert and other interested audiences
- Coordinates technical editing requests and distributes workload between primary and surge technical editor pool
- Tracks and reports weekly and quarterly technical editing metrics
- Ensures table and figure content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text and proper classification markings in accordance with DoD guidance
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree 4 years
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years
- Associate’s degree with 12 years
- 1 certification in area of specialization
- Additional certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience
- One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Master’s degree
- Degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties
- Must be able to meet customer facility COVID requirements
Required Clearance
- Secret clearance
