About the Organization: Doctors Medi Center is a privately operated Same-Day Primary Care facility, located off of Exit 12 of the New Jersey Turnpike in Carteret, NJ. While we operate as an Urgent Care, offering services like X-Rays, EKGs, suturing, etc., we bill as Primary Care, which allows our patients to save money and select us as their PCP. Our doors have been open for over 40 years and we hope to continue providing great medical care to the community for generations to come!

Job Title: X-ray Tech

X-ray Tech Job Description: As an X-ray Tech you will perform general x-ray procedures consistent with industry standards, regulations and Doctors Medi Center policy, under the direction of the Physician. You will also provides Medical Assistant tasks when not performing Radiologic Technologist duties. Part-time positions are available immediately with the ability to go full-time if desired.

X-ray Tech Responsibilities:

• Perform x-ray radiographic imaging procedures to assist Medical Professionals in the diagnosis of injuries and disease.
• Greet patient, ensure that the patient has removed all jewelry and metal objects, that they are wearing the appropriate medical gown, and that they are not pregnant.
• Prepare and position the patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of the specified area of the body as requested by the physician.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked.
• Process digital images and review for proper identification and quality control.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain X-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Prepare the patient for the Medical Provider’s examination by obtaining vital signs and patient history
• Prepare the patient for the Provider’s exam by obtaining vital signs, patient history, brief HPI and current medications
• Assist with the examination as well as procedures and treatments if/when required
• Answering phones, scheduling and prior authorizations

Qualifications:

• Current Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited, state-approved program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification
• Current Basic Life Support Certificate
• Ability to speak Spanish or Punjabi is a plus

Sign-on Bonus:

Bonus of $5,000 for new hire, full-time x-ray techs will be paid if all the following criteria is met:

1. All onboarding documentation and training must be completed within 30 days of employment or the bonus is forfeited.

2. First 50% will be paid upon 6 months of full-time employment.

3. Remaining 50% will be paid upon 12 months of full-time employment.

4. If 12 months of employment is not met, bonus will be forfeited.
