What you'll do
Reporting into the Worldwide Revenue Enablement organization, this person will act in the capacity of 'Professional Delivery' of training services to the Sales and Customer Success (CS) organizations.
The mission of the Global Training Organization is to facilitate the highest quality delivery of tailored programs to the Sales and CS organizations so that they have the right knowledge, skills and guidance to perform their role at the optimal level.
This role is the 'customer face' of Global Enablement and has high visibility within the Field Sales and CS organizations. Therefore the person who performs the role of 'trainer' must be professional at all times. They must deliver in both an engaging and inclusive way, so that all learners in every delivery session receive a very positive experience, gaining knowledge or ideas that they can then apply within their day to day customer interactions.
When a DocuSign employee has been to a training session that an enablement trainer has delivered, they will know that they experienced world class enablement, both in terms of the content, but also the facilitators' positive impact on them.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Global Training.
Responsibility
- Train regional audiences in Sales and/or Customer Success on a variety of content, including but not limited to onboarding, customer journey methodology, skills, product, process, tools, and manager enablement
- Support delivery of training in another timezone depending on program demand and trainer availability
- Present and facilitate program content in an engaging, positive and impactful way using knowledge and skills grounded in current adult learn theory and models
- Adapt facilitation style based on the audience role, tenure and capability, so that each learner has the most relevant and impactful experience
- Research and use beneficial and collaborative Learning Technologies (e.g., Kahoot, Jamboard, Mentimeter) in order to support the effective delivery of content in a live, hybrid or remote environment, and the retention of knowledge by the learner
- Attend Train the Trainer orientation sessions regularly with the Content team and Performance Partners to understand the objectives of upcoming programs and how best to facilitate the content so that it lands well with the intended audience
- Provide informed feedback to the Content team on what is working and what can be changed for the delivery of program content
- Make recommendations for content edits, removals or additions
- Partner closely with the Global Content, Delivery, and Learning Operations Teams in Enablement to drive an integrated quarterly enablement plan aligned to Company OKRs and the needs of Field Sales and CS
- Use and also create Facilitator Guides so that other trainers can deliver the same programs and so that consistency in delivery is applied across regions
- Facilitate office hours either during and/or after a program to support and answer learners' questions
- Take ownership of your own development and expect to be a regular contributor to best in class training and facilitation techniques so that the entire Global Training Function can evolve and continue to elevate the learner experience
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
What you bring
Basic
- 8 years of experience
- 3 years of combined experience in an enablement function, and in sales and/or Customer Success, where presenting and influencing the audience was a key deliverable
Preferred
- Very strong communication and facilitation skills
- Confidence in presenting and facilitating in front of a small or large remote, hybrid, or live audience, and for all audience levels from entry level to senior leader
- Able to work with different types of people and support their learning journey to provide that unique and personal learning experience
- High level of emotional intelligence to adapt to a live audience and their different needs
- Inherent desire to learn and grow into a world class trainer and facilitator
- Calm under pressure and adaptable
- Comfortable with how to present through Zoom and Zoom Rooms in a remote or hybrid environment
- A qualification in adult learning theory or design
- Practical experience with learning tool technologies such as Jamboard, Kahoot, Mentimeter, etc.
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $118,300 - $182,775 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $111,600 - $153,525 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $111,600 - $162,625 base salary
