Description
Dodge Construction Network (DCN) is looking for an Account Manager to increase retention and expansion within our current customer accounts. The Account Manager is expected to be a proactive problem-solver with a client-centric focus. This critical role is responsible for presenting solutions and/or offering product enhancement products to existing small-medium business or mid-market General Contractors, Sub Contractors, and other verticals in the commercial construction industry.
This position reports directly to the Director, Regional Sales.
Location
The ideal candidate for this remote position must be based in Virginia with a preference in the Richmond or Arlington areas to support accounts in the assigned territory.
Core Responsibilities
- Seek upsell opportunities to grow current customers by selling them additional DCN products and services
- Uncover potential cancel reasons and overcome objections by reinforcing product features and value to increase customer retention
- Contact existing clients that are up for renewal and ensure continued customer satisfaction
- Attain all KPIs designed to improve account retention, contact rate, upsell, renewal and retention ratios
- Follow SOPs for all account interactions within standard CRM systems and other tools
- Participate in all job, product and industry-related training opportunities
- Improve customer product engagement
- Successfully execute mid-term business reviews
- Update retention, win back, and upsell pipelines in real time and show and manage stage progression, anticipated close date, contextual notes, and estimated deal value
- Accurately forecast monthly outcomes derived from pipeline, activity, and deal specific data summation
- Follow up proactively to address customer usage, health, payment, and other related retention focused activities
- Send proposals and process contracts through company systems
- Dutifully record, process and complete customer data entry through discovery and qualification process in Salesforce
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant sales experience; preferably selling SaaS/technology related products or services with a track record of consistently closing new business
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or combination of equivalent work experience
- Superior personal integrity and ownership of outcomes
- Strong relationship building and client-centric skills
- Ability to coach customers on best practices; uncover pain points and recommended solutions
- Have an empathetic small business growth mindset to identify meaningful opportunities for customers benefit
- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)/Web proficiency
- Proficiency in Salesforce preferred

Salary Disclosure
Base Salary range: $50,000-$60,000 commissions
This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job-related factors. DCN's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
