Dog U in Vestavia Hills, Alabama is currently seeking full-time/part-time Play Staff members to join our fun, friendly team dedicated to high-quality customer service. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for interacting with animals. A typical day in the life of a Play Staff member includes:
- Escorting dogs to and from kennels and to and from the play yard
- Interacting with receptionists, veterinary staff, and clients
- Maintaining a clean work space by cleaning kennels and/or play yard
- Supervising dog play groups
- Interacting with dogs and puppies
Preferred qualities of the Play Staff member position include:
- Ability to work in different types of weather (e.g., rain, heat, cold)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to put forth a positive, professional attitude
- Skill in observing and monitoring the environment
- Skill in actively looking for ways to help coworkers, dogs
