The assistant store manager responsibilities include:
- Assist store manager in everyday store operations
- Supervise and train staff, delegate tasks,, manage staff problems, design work schedules, and approve time sheets
- Review staff performance and offer constructive feedback
- Collaborate with team leads on setting and achieving team-specific goals
- Display merchandise to maximize purchasing appeal
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints or grievances
- Complete store opening and closing procedures multiple times per week
- Keep the store organized, clean, and attractive to customers
- Maintain knowledge of all products available in the store and know the store layout
- Greet incoming customers, answer phone calls, operate the register to complete sales and collect payments.
