Dollar Tree is seeking an Engineering Analyst to support the Logistics Engineering Team.
This position will play a critical role in identifying opportunities throughout our Distribution network to improve labor utilization, building capacity and throughput through analytics, reporting and communication of the opportunities identified. We are looking for passionate hands-on individuals with an Industrial Engineering, Lean/Six Sigma or analytical background who can effectively innovate and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. A background in distribution operations and labor and performance management is preferred. This individual must have strong interpersonal, communication, data analysis and forecasting skills.

Responsibilities
- Data collection and analysis to kick off process improvement opportunities
- Conduct/Support root cause analysis through deep dive data analytics and process observation
- Update and maintenance of Labor Management Systems across a national network
- Troubleshoot Labor Management System day-to- day issues
- Weekly/monthly/quarterly labor reporting
- Review and analyze labor data as needed
- Develop data analysis tools, to assist operations
- Velocity based slotting and profiling analysis
- ROI analysis
- Support standardization and documentation of standard operating procedures and distribution process across the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Logistics using strong process improvement and lean principles
- Coordinate with Information Technology and drive the operational execution of software enhancements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in engineering, mathematics, or other applicable STEM disciplines
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical and reporting roles
- Proven experience identifying opportunities through data analysis in a fast-paced industrial, logistics, distribution, fulfillment or production/manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners
- High level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to present complex analytics in easy to understand and actionable format
- Advanced data analysis skills and an expert in using supporting tools e.g., Minitab, Excel, MS Access, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau and Power BI
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time based on project needs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience and proficiency with labor management system implementation and maintenance; Blue Yonder and Manhattan LMS’s are a plus
