About the role
The Recording Supervisor manages the performance & efficiency of individual contributors within the Post Closing/Recording team. They stay close to day-to-day production and provide immediate support with file-level tasks escalations, and associate needs. They own duties where attention to detail and identifying trends will be critical to drive a great employee experience and operational efficiency. They effectively implement solutions created by the Supervisor(s), Manager(s), and Director. They partner with Ops leaders and the Learning & Enablement team to increase the speed and quality of work of all employees. They are developing their coaching, team-building, people management, and leadership skills. The Recording Supervisor will be based in our state-of-the-art Operations Hub in Arlington, TX.
What will you be doing?
- Directly supervises a team of individual contributor associates.
- Performs duties related to people management (timecard approvals, performance management, etc).
- Oversees day-to-day workflows, supports with file-level interventions; and provides individual support on files.
- Monitors the queues and assesses for any risks, stepping in to cover any anticipated gaps or failures in workflow.
- Executes operational improvements quickly and efficiently based on performance metrics.
- Provides consistent production-level updates to supervisors and manager.
- Supports with file-level escalations and provides updates to appropriate leadership.
- Accountable for the achievement of performance goals for their direct reports.
- Conducts regular 1:1s with their direct reports.
- Provides coaching and individualized support to team members.
- Is a critical stakeholder in recruiting and hiring top level talent; works closely with the recruiting team to provide a seamless candidate experience that represents the values of the company.
- Fosters a team experience that manifests the company's cultural values.
- Conducts routine audits of files to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Is a voice and advocate for the company culture; strives to create a great place to work for all employees.
What skills and experience do you need?
- 3 year post closing/recording experience
- Prior experience managing a team of 10 to performance metrics and customer service standards.
- Excellent phone, email, and face-to-face communication skills
- Love for multitasking
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment
- Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of title insurance, regulatory guidelines, and legal documents is required
- Comfortable with constant change and process improvement
- Proven customer service experience on escalated matters
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team player under pressure
- Proficient computer skills
- Familiarity with industry performance standards
- Bonus: Possession of individual title and/or escrow licenses
