SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Educational Services program manager provides direct supervision to one-to-one counselors located in multiple school systems and private therapeutic day schools. The role is essential to monitoring job performance, quality assurance and compliance with all Educational Services and Dominion Care policies and procedures. The Director acts as a liaison between the school system and Dominion Care.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
Training with exceptional education individuals
Training with behavioral intervention strategies including T.O.V.A. (Therapeutic Options of Virginia)
Knowledge of autism or completion of VCU Autism Spectrum Disorder for Paraprofessionals
One to Three years’ experience in supervision
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors all assigned staff for compliance with Educational Services policies and procedures (i.e. arrival to shift on time, professional dress, performance of job responsibilities, etc.).
Provides leadership and supervision to all one-to-ones and provides coaching for all performance issues.
Assist staff by providing training and support with behavioral interventions or restraint as needed.
Manage daily call outs from staff, and coordinate coverage for all students.
Marketing and outreach for program services to school districts. Attends school-level meetings before the start of services to explain the one-to-one counselor's role.
Identify and pursue program growth opportunities including pursuit of new contracts and school divisions.
Collects all daily behavioral logs to ensure compliance for exceptional education documents (behavioral intervention plans and individualized education plans), checks them for accuracy and files them for monthly reports.
Monthly interpretation of behavioral data sheets and monthly reports submitted by one-to-one counselors and composes monthly reports to be sent with billing to school localities.
Attends all meetings for clients {IEP, BIP, FAPT, disciplinary manifestations, etc.)
Hiring and interviewing of one-to-one counselors.
Conducts regular site visits with staff and stakeholders
Oversight of staff roster, census reporting, and hiring needs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITY
All one-to-one counselors.
TRAVEL/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Travel throughout the state is required for this position.
