What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Assistant position at DON Services Inc.?
SUMMARY: The Compliance Assistant will be responsible for reviewing all consumer and attendant documentation and suggesting corrections upon review and completing EIM and necessary MCO and State required compliance mandates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Complete all monthly compliance reviews and reach out to ILC’s as well as HR to obtain missing documents. Follow up to make sure pertinent information is received.
Manually verify visits (timesheets), verify Awake/Alert checks; verify hospitalizations and ER visits.
Track ILC quarterly calls/visits/ILP completions.
Work closely with the Compliance team to conduct quarterly audits and EIM reports.
Review consumer’s profile and attendant documentation in efile cabinet regularly checking for errors or missing files.
Help with the correction of documentation that may have errors or missing files by assisting persons responsible for said documentation.
Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings.
Perform EVS checks.
Check inSite demographic information.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or university, Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or five years to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to solve problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of consumers or employees of the organization.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent communication and public relations skills, independent means of travel. Aptitude for using computer tools reliably.
