Job Description:

As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the operations of a thriving door refinishing business, from start to finish. You will build relationships with clients, champion exceptional customer service, lead your associates, and drive results to grow the business.

General Job Duties:

  • Onboarding new associates and tradespersons, ensuring their completion of all training requirements and annual safety certifications, any required certifications by the state, and ensuring that each team member represents the brand in a positive way according to our standards.
  • Ensuring that team members perform door refinishing services to brand standards and to clients’ personal preferences and hold your team to those same standards.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of every person and associate and taking immediate action whenever necessary.
  • Developing your leadership skills as a General Manager in a mobile business and brick-and-mortar setting.
  • Networking regularly in the local community to build referral relationships.
  • Setting and achieving sales goals.
  • Communicating promptly with clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Meeting regularly with franchise owners to review KPIs and accountabilities.
  • Managing every aspect of the day-to-day business operation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • The General Manager will consistently perform all of the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Sanding, stripping, staining, and varnishing doors.
  • Ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of employees by making sure all staff follows standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all refinishing staff follows the client’s instructions and/or door refinishing standards when refinishing doors.
  • Providing courteous service to all clients by utilizing intent behaviors in the client's home.
  • Recruiting and hiring shop partners, and developing a team focused on building long-term guest relationships.
  • Ordering supplies as necessary for the shop and properly maintaining all tools and equipment required to perform services.
  • Assisting with building the business, such as reminder calls, greeting guests at their homes and during events to promote services.
  • Adhering to and promoting established safety procedures and maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment for shop partners and guests.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a management role, ideally in a mobile or brick-and-mortar business.
  • Experience in the door refinishing industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with franchise owners, team members, and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, lift (up to 30 pounds), and stand for long periods of time.

Benefits and Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 per year with potential opportunities for more as business grow, along with commission opportunities, healthcare, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching opportunities.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
