Job Overview
All members of our staff, our Guest Service Agent will possess the ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This will involve listening to the nature of concern, demonstrate empathy with the customer, anticipating guest needs, and creating positive and memorable guest experiences.
The Guest Service Agent will be responsible for greeting customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. They will use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions. This individual will also promptly answer phone calls, take reservations, complete the registration process, and applicable charges and payments.
Guest Service Agent will be responsible for completing required shift paperwork, reports as assigned by General Manager, and end of shift cash closing procedures. This will also include creating guest reservation, completing guest registration, applying charges and payment to guest folios.
The ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Will need to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Guest Service Agents will be required to stand 80% of their scheduled shift and be efficient during each schedule shift.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Hotel experience is preferred yet not required.
Shifts: Open availability, work weekend and holidays
Shifts available: 7-3 and 3-11 only
