POSITION OVERVIEW:
dormakaba is seeking a Purchasing Manager for our Supply Chain team in Reamstown, PA. This position is responsible for the leadership and management of a multi-plant team of tactical Buyers.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Provides leadership and management of a multi-plant team of tactical Buyers with close teamwork and collaboration with plant management team
- Develops and mentors the team as part of a strong network of purchasing professionals with dormakaba’s values of Customer First, Curiosity, Performance, Courage and Trust
- Manages plant level supplier relationships including monthly scorecards for on-time delivery and quality performance
- Ensures purchase order coverage is appropriately maintained
- Engages with Buyers on supplier escalation needs for critical plant support needs
- Ensures purchasing parameters (lead time, price, MOQ, etc) are continually managed in ERP system in a dynamic supply chain environment
- Participates in S&OP process with inputs to key stakeholders on supplier readiness and constraints
- Develops supplier relationship utilizing LEAN processes to enable a flexible, agile and efficient supply chain
- Collaborates closely with global and regional category buyers on commodity and supplier strategies including initiatives (savings, supplier consolidation, VaVe) and supplier relationship management and ensure plant level execution.
- Collaborates closely with new product introduction (NPI) buying team to ensure timely launch of new products
- Is key stakeholder in performing to inventory management and material cost variance targets
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Supply Management preferred.
- 10 year’s experience in procurement / supply chain management
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified in Production and Inventory Control (CPIM) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be customer focused with attention to detail
- Willing to travel 25% the time as needed
- Project management and time management skills
- Excellent business management and presentation skills required
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of SAP and ERP systems
- Understanding of S&OP processes
