Job Title: Freight Loader I

Location: Conyers, GA

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Freight Loader to load, unload and move materials within or near designated work sites.

What you’ll be responsible for in this role: (list job duties/responsibilities)

• 
  Ability to read work orders or follow instructions to determine which material or containers (including open containers) to be moved.
• Ability to load and unload materials with hand dollies, pallet jacks, and/or by hand.
• Loads materials into trailers and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent sifting or damage during transit.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination.
• Ability to attach proper ID tags/labels to materials and/or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Loads trucks for Industrial Truck Operator.
• Stacks, assembles and bands bundles together.

What are the basic qualifications?

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One to three months shipping experience or related experience and/or training, or equivalent of education and experience.

What are the preferred qualifications?

• 
  One to three years of shipping experience preferred.

  Demonstrate good computer skills (ability to use email, scan documents and basic Excel experience)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted, as needed to perform job duties.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move crates, boxes, containers, etc. weighing up to 500 pounds, assisted by non-powered equipment (pallet jacks, dollies, carts).
