The Leasing Agent's responsibilities may vary slightly based on location; however, strong communication skills and a personable demeanor are key factors to success. The ability to multi-task and be adaptive to changing responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude are crucial. This role is located in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized tours to prospective residents and lease apartments in compliance with local and federal Fair Housing standards
- Prepare and manage new and existing lease files and update the resident database to ensure accuracy
- Respond to all prospect inquiries by providing helpful and thoughtful information about the community and neighborhood
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and other customers
- Conduct inspections of vacant apartments
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in sales and customer service, previous leasing experience required
- Flexible to work weekends as necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Yardi experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Approachable and friendly demeanor
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work with all levels of employees
