Job Description Summary

This role will reside within the Threat Management (TM) team within the Draper Security department to provide project and additional duty support. Primary assignment will be in support of the TM’s Senior Counterintelligence (CI) Analyst to learn how TM provides analytic/assessment support to Draper, but the Co-op will be introduced to CI, Insider Threat (InT), and Security Investigations (SI) disciplines. Tasks may include but are not limited to: shadowing employees to learn their duties and responsibilities by working with the Senior CI Analyst and Senior CI and InT investigators within TM. The position will involve working on projects to provide awareness, protect Draper equities, and improve processes.

Program Details

• This is a great opportunity for a college student to gain real-world experience in the field of Threat Management (TM) as it pertains to classified government contracting.
• The TM Co-op will assist TM members in the conduct of its mission to develop a base of knowledge and gain experience across the CI, InT, SI missions.
• Provide assistance to the TM including, but not limited to, conduct Open Source research, conducting analysis, and reviewing/providing inputs into assessments and awareness messages the TM team sends to Draper employees and programs.
• Attend meetings, take notes, and review TM activities to learn CI and InT processes and provide support to TM actions.
• There is flexibility regarding hours, program duration based on applicant’s school schedule.
• This position can be partially hybrid remote, however being in the Reston office, when appropriate, is an important part of this experience.
  
  

Duties/Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Co-op will rotate working between multiple groups within Department to ensure a base knowledge set is experienced for comprehensive professional development.
• Provide assistance to a team, including, but not limited to, clerical duties, processing paperwork, customer service or performing data entry.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program.
• Must be a U.S. citizen
  
  

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s / master’s degree program in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Homeland Security, Security & Intelligence or related field.
  
  

Preferred Competencies

• Highly motivated, interest in the fields of CI, InT, and Investigations methodologies and best practices
• Skill, expertise in conducting research in the field and in writing papers, assessments
