What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Repair Technician position at DRB?

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, manuals and technical documents to solve mid to high-level component troubleshooting problems.
  • Perform troubleshooting on all mechanical and electrical components and sub-assemblies to the component and modular level.
  • Solder and rework of both through hole and SMT circuits.
  • Maintain and track inventory of customer repair and returns to assure efficient turn around times are met.
  • Assist in maintaining all inventory of refurbished stock items and coordinates vendor returns on all third party repairs.
  • Document all relevant findings as related to customer repair and returns.
  • Primary customer contact on repair and return related inquiries.
  • Construct and maintain test fixtures and Customer Service point of reference models and helps maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist the Production area with the testing of all Vendor or in-house parts and sub-assemblies to insure functionality.
  • Participate in product and procedural training.

 

Non-Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides additional support to Repair, Service, and Production & Operations department as necessary.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 Associates in Electronics AND a minimum of three (3) years experience in customer service or electronics, including assembling and/or troubleshooting electronic components and complete systems; soldering and de-soldering.

OR

High School diploma or equivalent; AND a minimum of three (5-7) years experience in customer service or electronics, including assembling and/or troubleshooting electronic components and complete systems; soldering and de-soldering.
