A leading international supplier with a manufacturing footprint spanning across Europe and North America seeking to fill the role of Operations Finance Manager in our N. America Paper, Forestry, and Recycle Division. The Finance Manager will work well in a collaborative, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the business’s growth by developing efficient operating processes that provide keen insights that drive economic thinking. S/he will possess a positive attitude, be hard-working and driven with a focus on results, accountability and leading improvement and change. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting, finance or operations with experience providing financial support within a manufacturing organization. This position will include a mix of operational duties (sales/production/cost analysis, Capital oversight, KPI management) and general FP&A (Forecast, budget, and associated commentary).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial analysis support for multiple manufacturing facilities including production and sales analysis, cost analysis, and capital planning.
- Assist with ERP implementation and integration of work processes into our shared services center.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop reporting and analysis tools that provide timely and actionable insights.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting and reporting of all financial statements across manufacturing plants including working capital and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with Audit and other Ad Hoc requests
- Work directly with sites to understand the key drivers impacting performance and measures that need to be implemented to effect change
- Manage capital planning, capital forecasting and business case development for key investments
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the finance function
The Candidate:
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- MBA and/or CMA designation preferred
- 4 years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing organization
- Proactive and self-motivated with ability to manage multiple projects under limited supervision
- Ability to distil financial topics into easily understood and actionable recommendations to improve business performance
- Customer-focused approach with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving skills both individually and in a group setting
- Advanced proficiency with Excel required; Experience with costing systems, SAP and Hyperion HFM or similar tools is preferred
