Overview

The Lead Test Engineer will lead mechanical and electrical testing development for the Industrial Control Division. The role involves designing and improving test equipment and capabilities, leading new product introduction projects, and ensuring that all test equipment meets safety, quality, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and industrialize test and automation processes for new product development (NPD)
• Optimize existing testing processes and procedures
• Develop tester specifications and collaborate with suppliers
• Validate and troubleshoot new test equipment
• Mentor plant test engineering leads and identify resource gaps
• Manage capital expenditures and forecasts for test equipment
  
  

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution
• 5 years of experience designing, building, and operating production test equipment
• Experience with statistical quality tools and software testing
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Six Sigma certification, Lean Manufacturing, and project management experience preferred
