Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Plant Manager to oversee operations at our high purity chemical manufacturing facility in Colorado. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and leading a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the plant, including production, maintenance, and quality control to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining the highest standards of safety for employees and the environment.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain strict quality control processes to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the plant budget, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and workforce planning.
- Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and efficient inventory management.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans to drive the plant's growth and competitiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with senior management, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the chemical or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of high purity chemical manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing and ERP software systems.
