What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales and Marketing Analyst position at DSV?
The Sales and Marketing Analyst (SMA) will be responsible for providing technical and operational support in the execution of our Global Sales Program. The SMA supports revenue growth by working in conjunction with Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Management on specific sales strategies and activities. The SMA is primarily responsible for communication between Sales team and internal teams throughout the entire sales cycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports driving sales growth by actively supporting tender and proposal management. Specifically, this individual will be responsible for assisting with detailed quoting activities and providing support and additional bandwidth in the quoting process
- Supports growth with new and existing customers through generation of leads and various prospecting activities including market research, cold calling and internet-based communications
- Increase marketing and brand visibility via LinkedIn and other social media outlets
- Develop digital marketing campaign with our marketing partners (internal and external) on executing materials and strategy.
- Manages internal support of proposals in work, ensuring actions are on track and the defined proposal process is followed (gate reviews, quoting process, presentations, proposal package preparation)
- Maintains sales CRM and regularly updates the CRM as needed
- Provides support to procurement team(s) as needed in the event additional bandwidth is needed to meet certain deadlines
- Identifies prospective clients online and in CRM to target appropriate contact people and captures relevant information. Collects tracks and summarizes performance and customer data.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional social media forums.
- Assesses situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and makes clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
- Proactively and thoroughly researches matters relating to account assignments, contracts, opportunities/quotes, booking transactions, and/or accounts receivables.
- Supports keeping selling tools up-to-date, accurate and detailed. These tools include but are not limited to forecasting, customer/account plans, opportunity plans, and CRM
- Proactively maintains and supports improvements in marketing tools including presentation materials, collateral materials and other media
- Supports attendance at special events as needed including association events, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions
- Sets priorities, develops a work schedule, monitors progress towards goals, and tracks details/data/ information/activities.
- Supports process improvement initiatives across the sales organization that will enhance sales force productivity and efficiency

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and industry sales experience
- Proven sales experience in a Global Market capacity in diverse environments for a minimum of 5 years with a solid network of relevant business segments
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Computer Skills
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with dynamic presentation skills on PowerPoint
- Proposal drafting expertise
- Experience with CRM tools
Language Skills
English Proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal)

- Detailed orientation in terms of completing quoting tasks, maintaining process discipline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a sales support capacity in diverse environments with 5-7 years of relevant experience in proposal preparation and quoting
- Related Master’s degree
- Experience in Supply Chain Industry
