Our employees are key to our success. POSITION SUMMARY: The Inventory Analyst supports maximizing sales, margin, and inventory levels for assigned DTLR lines of business. This role ensures the omni-channel inventory levels meet projected demands and performance goals. The inventory analyst is responsible for creating inventory analytics that tell a story about the current and future state of DTLR inventory position and provides valuable insight for the merchandising, planning, and buying teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor store inventory practices and report on performance • Maintain and update inventory records • Adjust store inventory as it relates to promos, short/ miss ships • Review and analyze store shipment issues from the warehouse and report resolutions as necessary • Audit count return to vendor shipments • File claims with 3rd party handler of outbound store shipments • Monitor daily transfer discrepancies and reconcile differences • Work with Operations department regarding weekly open carton issues • Request supporting reports from Asset Protection as it relates to loss prevention issues • Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred • Two- three years prior experience working in customer service and/or inventory management SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: • Strong story-telling ability to synthesize large amounts of data into conclusions and recommendations in oral and written formats • Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities with a willingness to learn, improve processes, and add more value over time • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Possess critical problem solving and analytical skills • Ability to produce accurate high-quality work with attention to detail. • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word • Ability to solve problems and multitask • Ability to work well both independently as well as within a team environment • Must be able to maintain an exemplary degree of professionalism in all situations • The ability to execute directives with precision and consistency ▪ Must have strong creative and innovative abilities in visual presentation. ▪ Proven ability to understanding of product presentation ▪ Must demonstrate an ability to think strategically, plan and organize effectively ▪ Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing ▪ Demonstrate flexibility on the job ▪ Ability to adapt quickly and react to business needs and change ▪ Ability to work overtime as dictated by workload PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
