Job Description
Human Resources Manager responsible for coordinating all administrative activities related to company personnel. Duties include organizing and preparing payroll, implementing systems for managing employees including staff benefits, behavior and onboarding and offboarding employees.
Job Duties:
- Develops and administers company-wide human resource policy, procedures, and practices in accordance with corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
- Suggest changes to policy and procedures based on employee and company needs.
- Conduct disciplinary actions.
- Perform and document workplace investigations.
- Process full weekly payroll to include timekeeping, time and attendance auditing, and payroll data import to processing system.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality of payroll, benefits, and employee information. Verifying attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments and posting information to designated records.
- Computing wages and deductions and entering data into appropriate software programs.
- Administer all employee benefits and serve as point of contact with brokers.
- Processing employee on boarding and off boarding information.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of human resource fundamentals and best practices. SHRM or other certifications preferred but not required.
- Continual education with regards to California Employment law requirements.
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field.
- Strong knowledge of payroll related laws such as worker classification, overtime, deductions, withholdings, record retention, and payroll related reporting requirements.
- 2 year experience running payroll; piece rate familiarity a plus.
- Confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills.
- Microsoft Excel skills – Intermediate (i.e pivot tables).
- Microsoft office outlook and word.
- UltiPro Kronos Software experience preferred but not required.
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $64,480.00 - $90,000.00 per year
