Provides overall administrative direction for the Mohs Surgery Practice, coordinates all activities, strategic direction and clinic initiatives. Maintains liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate clinic/practice business, accomplish directives and to facilitate the resolution of problems. The HCA for Mohs will also oversee and CAP certified Lab and ensure CAP regulatory and compliance requirements are executed. The HCA oversees workflows, policies, procedures and programs of the Mohs Surgery Clinic in conjunction with the medical director.
JOB DUTIES
- Provide administrative, direction and coordination in the formulation, interpretation and administration of current and long range policies, procedures and programs of the practice.
- Establish schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower, space and equipment to meet the Adult and Pediatric clinic productivity goals.
- Determine fiscal requirements, make projections and prepare clinic budgets, monitor revenue cycle, manage point of service collections, manage expenses and submit invoices for payment, distribute and explain monthly financial statements.
- Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, physicians and outside organizations to coordinate clinic business.
- Develop operating/nursing policies and procedures for both Pediatric and Adult Dermatology clinics: conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices; implement new polices and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.
- Direct and coordinate various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.
- Maintain a positive work culture by providing an environment of trust, fairness and confidentiality with diverse team members.
- Review monthly Balanced Score cards and GC CAPHS scores, maintain practice Stop Light Report; share scores monthly with staff and providers, implement measures and process improvement efforts to achieve PDC targets.
- Create a culture of safety by reporting risk management issues, participate in JCAHO and EOC audits, create building safety and fire plans and educate subordinates and providers.
- Expert capability with Epic Ambulatory Care scheduling, reporting and patient documentation platform
- Proficiency with qGenda software and SAP procurement systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Work requires 3 years related administrative or clinic management experience to acquire competence in applying general operational practices, personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of clinic administrative functions.
- Master’s in Business, Heath Care Administration or Master of Science in Nursing preferred
