Peer Support Program Manager Job Description

General Description of the Job Class
Administer and implement the Caring for Each Other (CEO) program, including managing training, volunteers, provision of services, finances, data, and administration.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Manage the growth and implementation of the entire DUHS Caring for Each Other Program, including managing DUHS-wide individual and group support, working with partners to coordinate emotional support rounding and Conversations with Colleagues, and collaborating with local CEO program managers in their work.
Co-facilitate training for Peer Support, and provide/administer individual booster trainings for volunteers. Manage and continually update the volunteer list, meet with volunteers as needed, and provide guidance and support to volunteers. Facilitate other trainings related to culture and wellbeing.
Review SRS reports, CEO requests, and additional system data each morning, and manage provision of proactive support based on that information. Work with volunteers to ensure coverage of all needed proactive interventions. Participate in restorative practices as appropriate as related to this work.
Manage individual and group support; work with colleagues and volunteers to ensure service provision. Provide group support, proactive individual support, and responsive individual support to team members as appropriate and needed.
Continually grow the program in response to the needs of our team members. Consider implementation of related services (e.g., buddy/mentor system, text helpline). Also help with growth of restorative work within DUHS.
Coordinate, facilitate, and/or participate in meetings with DUHS team members (e.g., emotional wellbeing huddles) to determine goals, reach, and details of the Caring for Each Other program and to identify available internal and external resources. Develop and implement program protocol, procedures, and operating policies.
Prepare flyers, newsletters, presentations, and other communications to describe CEO’s goals, trainings, and events, and work with communications to disseminate information. Work with communications to keep website and other communications updated.
Correspond with interested team members to provide information about CEO and other culture and wellbeing work—including presenting program information to departments across DUHS.
Track CEO data, including provision of services and feedback from support recipients. Prepare reports, analyze trends, and propose improvements/changes to the program.
Work within the larger culture and wellbeing space to help implement other related programs, including restorative practices.
Perform other duties not specified in the work described herein.

Preferred Skills/ Qualifications
Master’s degree, especially degree related to provision of mental health services (e.g., social work, psychology)
Clinical work experience
Experience in developing and providing training
Experience in restorative justice/restorative practices
Health care experience

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education
Work requires communications, analytical and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program.

Experience
Work requires the ability to plan and administer programs and direct program activities within a specific functional area, generally acquired through four years of related experience.
