The Dunes Golf and Beach Club is located oceanfront along the pristine shores of Myrtle Beach, SC. The Club is filled with rich history and fond memories and continues to provide its members and guests with exceptional service and a family-friendly atmosphere. We are considered as one of the most sought-after clubs in the southeast and strive to continue growing and exceeding our high standards for excellence.
The tennis facility has 7 LED lighted composition courts and 2 lighted hard courts. The tennis programs has exploded over the past few years. We have over 120 adults playing league tennis, over 75 junior tennis players participating in our junior program year-round aging from 3-18 years old.

Summary: Assists Tennis Director in all aspects of the Club’s tennis business and programming.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures the tennis department meets all accounting and human resource standards, policies, procedures, and requirements of the Club.
- Provides lessons and clinics to build interest in the game and the level of Club tennis participation Club-wide.
- Ensures the ongoing maintenance of all tennis facilities and equipment.
- Ensures the daily grooming and preparation of tennis courts and facilities.
- Ensures the proper set up of the tennis courts and facilities. Responsible for setting up and breaking down equipment for tennis activities.
- In the event of inclement weather, assists in weatherproofing the courts.
- Completes tennis shop and maintenance duties as scheduled.
- Attends weekly departmental staff meetings.
- Provides racquet stringing and racquet repair services for members.
- Instills all staff with a complete dedication to Club organizational values and member service.
- Works together with supervisors to develop a team-like approach to operating the Club where the emphasis is on problem discovery, problem solutions, and continual process improvement.
- Advises members and guests about tennis policies and appropriate attire.
- Performs other duties as requested or on an as-needed basis.
- QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 21 years old, possess U.S.T.A. rating of 4.0 or better and have two to four years related experience as a tennis professional/instructor.
- COMMUNCATION SKILL LEVEL
Must have a great attitude, be reliable and enjoy working both individually and in a team oriented environment.
- REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of unexpected circumstances in a way that highlights the values of the club. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven commitment to the delivery of world class service and products, and the ability to motivate coworkers to do the same.
- CERTIFICATIONS and/or LICENSES REQUIRED
U.S.T.A. rating of 4.0 or better
- MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Tennis racquets, tennis balls, ball hoppers, ball machines, squeegees, etc. Must be proficient with all tennis equipment and office equipment in the Tennis Shop.
