What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training Manager (Production) position at Dura Supreme Cabinetry?
The Training Manager is responsible for assessing, developing, and presenting new hire and skills development training programs and other identified training needs. This positions will also work with Department Managers to ensure the successful "on-boarding" of new production employees and assist with coordinating first week events to make certain that all production new hires have a consistent positive experience.
Starting rate: $55,000/ year *negotiable based on experience*
Overview of Duties:
- Develops, documents and delivers employee new hire orientation process.
- Organizes and develops training manuals, reference materials, multimedia aids, and other educational materials.
- Assists in the development and implementation of shop floor work instructions and procedures.
- Trains assigned trainers in effective training techniques.
- Coordinates Dura Supreme's commitment to a “Lean” culture by training and documenting philosophies and processes that build and maintain this culture.
- Conducts training sessions covering specified areas.
- Selects appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and computer based training.
- Confers with Managers to determine training needs and develops training programs and schedules based on identified training needs.
- Conducts follow up studies of completed training to evaluate and measure results and modify programs as needed.
- Assures that work instructions for new employees remain updated, especially as equipment, method, or process changes occur by coordinating completion through Quality Control Manager.
