Professional Communicator

Job Description:

The media relations and external comms team is looking to add a member to the team who has lots of runway to grow, has a passion for great communications, is willing to learn the business of making news and protecting the reputation of DXC.  This role requires someone who understands the nuances of a complex, global business, and can plan, create, and execute communications that will engage our external stakeholders and drive our brand awareness, pride and reputation.

Requires top-notch written and verbal communications, outstanding organizational skills, and high attention to detail.

• Contributes to an integrated communications plan, working with internal communications, social media and other groups.
• Helps to develop and execute on communications that will amplify DXC’s mission and support our strategic growth agenda.
• Support communications needs across all levels of our global organization

• Is able to write in a clear and concise style that is free of industry jargon, working on compelling and clear communications, interview briefs, etc. to support key files.

• Has an eye for strong reputation and brand management.

The candidate will report to the Head, Global External Communications. Key relationships will include regional and global PR leaders, Internal Communications, Offering leaders and their teams, IR/analyst relations.

Qualifications

• A successful communications or related background in multifaceted organizations (preferably large scale, public, global businesses) with a demonstrated track record of developing contemporary, integrated, and innovative solutions to communications challenges.
• Ability to help create and articulate an inspiring and clear vision for external communications
• Excellent written and verbal communications, outstanding organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Curious and always looking for innovative approaches and solutions that will help the team grow and have impact.
  • Results-oriented, collaborative team player and strategic thinker.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an exceptional communicator with the ability to drive alignment.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the DXC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  The range listed is just one component of DXC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a vacation policy and region-specific benefits.

At DXC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 55,800.00 - 83,800.00 USD Annual

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $55,800 - $83,800.
