What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temp Shop Helper (Day Shift) position at DXP Enterprises?
This position is a Temp to Hire position out in Shreveport, LA
Responsibilities of the Temp Shop Helper include, but are not limited to:
- General shop duties
- General shop cleanliness
- Assisting the Machinists
- Setting up and preparing the machines
- Keeping machines loaded with materials
- Moving parts around
- Maintenance and upkeep of the shop
- Using Forklift and overhead crane
- Sweeping and mopping
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications of the Temp Shop Helper include, but are not limited to:
- 2 years of shop experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read tape measures and levels
- Experience using a Forklift
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to be trained
- Must work as a team player
Additional Information:
- Physical Demand: Lifting up to 50lbs
- Working Conditions: Shop environment
- Training/Certifications: N/A
- Shift Time/Overtime: Dayshift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Must be able to work OT as necessary
