A Day in the Life of a Client Solutions Engineer:

  • Be the bridge between our customers and our operations to drive an increasing customer centric culture across the organization.
  • Collaborate with customers and external sales representatives to gather application information, enabling our engineering team to deliver game-changing recommendations and quotes.
  • Partner closely with our Global Product Manager, fellow CSEs and customers to drive projects from inception to successful completion, unleashing your creative problem-solving skills every step of the way.
  • Take the lead in post-order support for pivotal projects, ensuring our customers receive the outstanding service they deserve.
  • Immerse yourself in a stimulating environment that encourages personal and technical growth. Youll not only expand your technical prowess but also cultivate genuine, lasting relationships with our valued customers, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Respond to customer and sales representative requests regarding technical applications, providing product recommendations and quotes. Generate quote information. Solicit orders during customer contact. May take orders during communication via phone or email.
  • Communicate with Sales Managers and Sales Representatives regarding competitive threats and opportunities. Assist in development and execution of specific market and/or key account plans. As needed, may make customer calls in support of sales and key account planning process.
  • Work with ERP business systems to create and/or maintain customer, representative, and/or quote information.
  • Assist in resolving product and service problems including clarifying customer’s complaint and as appropriate, determining root cause, selecting, and explaining best solution, and expediting corrective action.
  • Participate in Product/Industry shows including attending conferences and/or hosting product booth/display.
  • Train customers and Reps on the application, technical attributes and specification of assigned product portfolio.
  • Lead and/or participate in process improvement projects to improve quality, cost, productivity, and/or customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintenance of business system information customer records including customer and sales representative contact information.
  • Assist in data collection and performance reporting for Sales Key Results Areas. May help develop and or improve reports and reporting process.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What You Need:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal and external personnel; must use good judgment when dealing with customers and fellow employees. Ability to influence, negotiate, develop relationships, handle customers, etc.
  • Prior inside sales experience: manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Mechanical Engineering, or technical degree preferred.
  • Ability to utilize a database, word-processing, spreadsheets, and ERP business systems as well as general office equipment, Microsoft product suite efficiently and proficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to work with fractions, decimals, and other units of measure as well as addition, subtraction, multiplication, addition, percentages, and some geometric formulas.
  • Ability to successfully read and interpret engineering CAD drawings including an understanding of critical tolerances, materials and design features.
  • Utilize systems and tools to develop quotes for product solutions.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and maintain high volume workload. Ability to plan and organize daily workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
