What You’ll Do
As a Pellet Mill Technician, you will be a part of the operation of the Pellet Mill. This includes the production of ultralow biuret urea in compliance with safety and environmental regulation.
This may also involve bagging and loading RBU.
Other duties will include :
- Perform diversified loading for shipment of specialized product orders.
- Operation of mobile equipment, conveyors, and other assigned equipment. Maintain certification for the operation of industrial trucks.
- Recognize the need for repair work and perform such work on own initiative within limitations of ability and time available or initiate Work Requests.
- Recognize abnormal operation of equipment and take corrective action according to general instructions. Obtain assistance from a Senior Technician if normal instructions are insufficient.
- Maintain timely and accurate product loading schedules for maximum return on investment, product quality, and safety. Suggest improvements to maximize productivity, efficiency, and environmentally enhance shipping operations.
- Demonstrate and / or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Company Health and Safety (HSE) Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
- Supports BEx initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
- Quick decisions must be made in emergencies, with limited information, to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate activities with other personnel performing related functions and assist as appropriate.
- Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area and maintain emergency response skills.
What We’re Looking For :
- Experience with mechanical equipment strongly preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing role preferred,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Basic math skills and ability to read and comprehend all operating and training instructions and record operating data required.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
