DynTek Services Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Technician in Sayville, NY.DynTek provides professional IT consulting services, end-to-end IT solutions, managed IT services and IT product sales to mid-market commercial businesses, state and local government agencies, and educational and healthcare institutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Responds to end user requests for assistance, as technical difficulties arise during the use of computer and networking technologies.
- Functions in the school building as the liaison between the building’s end users, as defined above, and the senior technician staff from the Instructional Technology Department. Can make recommendations regarding hardware, software, or networking functions, based on this interaction with end users.
- Provides proper maintenance, repair, and service to all administrative and instructional technology at assigned building as necessary and under the supervision of a senior technician as needed.
- Provides and maintains a detailed log of all reported technical occurrences, the resolutions of all technical difficulties as well as completed tasks and assignments using our district’s web-based service log. Can contribute written information to the knowledge base of the service log for others’ reference and information.
- Generates written reports of all details concerning unresolved technical problems in the district’s service log, and follows up with problem resolutions accordingly, seeking the appropriate senior technician.
- Attends meetings with others in the Department of Instructional Technology as per the needs of the department to make district or building levels changes/upgrades to procedures, the network and/or desktops.
- Performs basic networking functions as per the instructions of the senior technical staff.
- Works with a variety of instructional technology including, LCD computer projectors, printers, computers, laptops, and digital cameras.
- Helps to implement routine and special networking procedures with the building’s end users as per the senior technicians’ direction.
- Provides assistance on the basic information and operation of the district’s software applications.
