About this opportunity

As the IT Security Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day security operations of the global IT footprint, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, physical security & surveillance systems, voice/pbx systems, and log management systems. Additionally, you will serve as the facilitator of the global ISO-27001 initiative. This will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and work with various technologies with high visibility to the business.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the global IT ISO-27001 lead for DZS
• Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures
• Maintain the information security management system (ISMS)
• Extend the ISMS and framework to all global locations
• Coordinate with internal & external auditors to ensure compliance
• Respond to security incidents and develop corrective actions
• Facilitate monitoring & reporting of security incidents across all IT infrastructure
• Interface with 3rd party SOC to respond to security incidents
• Understand current vulnerabilities and work with IT operations to remediate
• Provide technical guidance to team members in areas of security
• Influence and improve upon existing processes through innovation and operational change
• Partner with global IT teams to provide immediate and long-term solutions to issues and anomalies
• Collaborate with engineering and other support teams to solve complex problems
• Quickly respond to requests, incidents and changes logged in global servicedesk system
• Execute and provide feedback for operational policies, procedures, processes, and standards
• Lead and manage projects
• Ensure 100% user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
• Send weekly and monthly reports regarding status cybersecurity program
• Ensure all operational processes are clearly documented and maintained
• Participate in support of global service desk issues when necessary

What You Bring

• 7 years of experience in information technology
• 4 years of experience in information technology security
• Must have experience with networking, server and desktop technologies
• Must have experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
• Must have experience with server virtualization technologies (Vmware/Hyper-V/KVM/Xen)
• Must have experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS/Azure/GCP/O365)
• Prefer experience with backup and recovery solutions for virtual environments
• Prefer experience with Active Directory domain administration
• Prefer certifications in MCSE/MCSA/CCNA/Fortinet NSE IV /CISSP)
• Familiarity with NIST/COBIT Frameworks
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP protocols
• Experience with ITIL based concepts including request, incident and change management
• Familiarity with cloud-based service desks like ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshworks desirable
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service and customer focus
