Job Posting for IT Services Hardware Maintenance Technician at E-Logic, Inc.
We are looking for a IT Services Hardware Maintenance Technician expert and trustworthy to apply for a job in our (Ms) IT department. The maintenance technician on hardware will major on maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting devices, and pieces of equipment in the IT infrastructure of our county's schools. The important thing is the role that this position plays in setting the efficient use of resources that actually support the teaching process, learning and administration.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on hardware devices and equipment, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, projectors, and peripherals.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions to school operations.
Install, configure, and deploy new hardware devices and equipment, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and security compliance.
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspection, and testing of hardware components, to prolong equipment lifespan and optimize performance.
Respond to service requests and support tickets in a timely manner, providing onsite and remote technical assistance to school staff, faculty, and students.
Maintain accurate records of hardware inventory, maintenance activities, service tickets, and warranty information using our IT asset management system.
Collaborate with IT team members, school administrators, and external vendors to coordinate hardware repairs, replacements, and warranty claims as needed.
Provide training and technical guidance to end users on hardware usage, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for equipment maintenance and care.
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in hardware maintenance, repair, and support, preferably in an educational or institutional setting.
Solid understanding of hardware components, peripherals, and networking equipment, with proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues.
Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and deployment procedures for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and AV equipment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users and stakeholders.
