Job Description:
Looking for higher level trouble shooters to handle support tickets on current and older (7.15) versions of Citrix.
Clear support queues and assist in the Citrix upgrade from 7.15 that has stalled due to some support constraints.
Job Summary: As a Level 3 Citrix Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Citrix infrastructure of the organization.
You will provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex Citrix-related issues.
Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of the Citrix environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and administer the Citrix infrastructure, including XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler environments.
2. Perform advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for Citrix-related incidents, problems, and outages.
3. Implement and maintain Citrix policies, profiles, and configurations to ensure security and compliance requirements are met.
4. Monitor Citrix performance and capacity, proactively identify potential issues, and implement optimizations to enhance system reliability and performance.
5. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Citrix solutions with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
6. Plan and execute Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations in coordination with Change Management processes.
7. Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles for Citrix-related activities.
8. Provide guidance and mentorship to Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, assisting with escalations and knowledge transfer.
9. Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Citrix updates to continuously improve the Citrix environment.
10. Participate in on-call rotation and off-hours support as needed to address critical issues and ensure 24/7 availability of Citrix services.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Citrix administration, with a focus on XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler.
• Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) or higher certification is required.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware vSphere.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and task scripting.
• Experience with Citrix monitoring and management tools, such as Citrix Director and Citrix ADC.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of Citrix administration.
