Grants and Development Manager
EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 82,000 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks a Grants and Development Manager to work full time for its Development Department.
The Grants and Development Manager position is an exempt position paying $85,000-$105,000 annually. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with availability for possible nights and weekends. The office is located in Garden City, NY and some flexibility given for remote work. The role reports to Chief Development Officer.

Primary Purpose of Job
The Grants and Development Manager works cooperatively with the Chief Development Officer to raise money through grants, foundations, individuals and corporations.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize Foundations and Grants strategies to research write and apply for all grants that match EAC values/mission at local, state, and national level.
- Create a list of prospects in the Foundations and Grants landscape and expand current list.
- Work with program staff to research and apply for Grants and funding.
- Event Planning
- Have the ability to organize two to three major fundraising events a calendar year. Structure events and coordinate all the moving parts working with Development Team to raise money.
- Responsible for choosing locations, hiring caterers, entertainment, and other vendors.
- Research, Identify, engage, and develop prospects by cultivating relationship and partnerships with NEW, existing, and past donors for individual and corporate gifts to match the needs of the agency.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required
- 5 years of development experience in grant writing, event planning and/or fundraising. Ability to organize major fundraising events.
- Must be able to attend events, evenings, and weekends- This person acts a salesperson for EAC Network!
- Excellent, organizational, multitasking, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to make cold calls, knocks on doors, research and meet new strangers in telling our story. This is a sales position!
- Proficiency in computer applications and online systems such as Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheets, calendar, email, and database software necessary to perform work assignments.
- Must Possession of valid New York State driver's license and access to an automobile for local travel and some work outside of business hours.
