REPORTS TO SPEC FAB QUOTATIONS MANAGER
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position requires consistency with accuracy and timely quoting of customer requested standard or custom equipment from the Eagle Group product line. As Estimator I, you will work closely with members of the Customer Service Team as well as others in the Quotations / Spec Fab Department under the direction of the Manager to ensure superior service and quality for our customers, dealers and reps. The Estimator I must have a keen eye for attention to detail and a developed skill at estimating projects that meet the expectations of our customers.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must be able to work in a team oriented environment
• Must be able to absorb and retain the training received in order to become independently functional within a designated time frame
• Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbally and written
• Generate quotes using the Auto Quotes platform
• Collaborate with other departments to obtain pertinent information to determine the needs & requirements for the product being quoted to ensure overall accuracy
• Develop an understanding for the many products produced by Eagle Group; familiarize yourself with the differences between the Standard items and the Customs items
• Use specifications and drawings along with company internal IBM system to formulate the quote
• Maintain thoroughly organized records of all project related documentation for future use/ review
• Other duties as deemed necessary
EDUCATION & TRAINING
• 1-year minimum related work experience or training
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent a must
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
• Basic mathematical skills
• Certifications in either Estimating or other related are a plus
• Previous on the job training
• Experience or familiar with recommending cost-reduction options

• Able to read and analyze blueprints and all other applicable documents used in preparing the estimate/ quote
WORKING CONDITIONS
WORK ENVIRONMENT Office environment with low to moderate noise level; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to read/see / hear/ speak/walk/ lift up to 10 pounds frequently/sit periodically through the day/grasp/ hold/ carry.
HOURS / SHIFTS First shift : 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
SALARY Compensation will commensurate with candidate experience; knowledge
