Description
TITLE: Trainer

Trainer assists in developing training curriculum and in delivering training to all staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact and assist all visitors, Team Members, and all departmental heads in a polite and professional manner at all times.
- Provide effective training of all Eagle Mountain Casino Team Members by developing and delivering curriculum for new hire orientation, job specific, department, general hospitality, management, and a large variety of other training topics in a multi-cultural environment.
- Work with the Training Coordinator to adjust curriculum, and schedule to deliver when needed.
- Assist in organizing all training materials and equipment, training set up, and room set up.
- Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of all departmental records and reports.
- Maintain accurate training records in Team Member files and/or in the current HRIS System, including clerical and data entry.
- Stay current in state of the art improvements of audiovisual aids, training methods and training techniques so as to advise departmental trainers on these improvements.
- Ensure the development of individual department trainings are appropriately designed and used.
- Assist the Training Coordinator in scheduling all training with Eagle Mountain Casino as requested and developing company training plan.
- Provide information to the Training Coordinator regarding cost of materials and training for budget purposes.
- Adheres to regulatory, legal, company, and departmental policies and procedures.
- All other departmental duties assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- AA degree in related field and/or a minimum of three (3) years experience in training or equivalent in education and experience.
- Must have excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational and presentations skills.
- Ability to influence others in a positive manner, and handle and maintain confidential information.
- Must be able to work with and train diverse groups of people.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Publisher preferred.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Spanish preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a gaming license with the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit.
- Repeatedly required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
- The noise level is usually low, increasing to loud when on the casino floor.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
