Underground Utility Foreman

Eagle Rock Excavating is looking to add qualified and experienced Underground Utility Foreman (Dry/Wet Utilities) to lead our crews. The foreman needs to have experience supervising and coordinating the day-to-day tasks related to laying of sanitary/storm sewer pipelines, laying pipe to form water, sewer, or storm sewer pipelines, setting up laser, electric utilities, and other engineering instruments to install pipelines at proposed elevations

Certifications in confined space and traffic control a plus but not required.

This is a physically demanding position. Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. Employee must occasionally lift to 75 lbs.

Job Duties:

• Supervises, schedules, and coordinates crew.
• Produce daily reports for management review and upload to company server
• Identifying potential change orders.
• Attend weekly safety meetings
• Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity.
• Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards and company rules.
• Bring the job in/on time and under budget.
• Performs a wide variety of skilled (and sometimes complex) related maintenance activities for the purpose of ensuring that issues are resolved, and projects are completed in a safe, effective, and timely manner.
• Prepares a variety of program-mandated documents and reports for the purpose of documenting activities and complying with district and/or legal requirements.
• Operate various pieces of equipment
• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate 4–6-man crew.
• Always enforce OSHA safety standards on site.
• Familiar with Trico and TEP Specs

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a foreman in underground utility industry (Dry/ Wet Utilities).
• Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, Codes and Regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and strong organizational, administrative, and analytical skills.
• Certifications in confined space and traffic control a plus but not required.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a PLUS.
• Must have strong commercial site experience.
• Must have a valid Driver License (Applicants must have clean driving record)
