Eagleville Hospital, located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, education, and prevention of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and acute psychiatric disorders. The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse.
Eagleville Hospital is seeking a FT Central Scheduling Coordinator for our organization. This role provides services to the Nursing and Counseling Departments.
Scheduler ensures adequate staffing on each unit and coordinates with Managers & Supervisors, communicates schedules to staff. They coordinate schedules for and communications with part time per diem, and agency staff. The Scheduler provides day-to-day maintenance, monitoring, and scheduling in our Paycom system while maintaining standards of policy and staff bargaining agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows the master staffing requirements.
Communicates continuously with Nursing and Counseling leadership to ensure coordination of information and maintain accuracy of nursing schedule.
Prepares daily staffing sheets with continual revisions as necessary.
Follows center policy and guidelines for numbers and assignment of staff.
Completes a listing of available shifts in Paycom.
Schedules staff vacations according to guidelines and direction.
Handles overtime request, paid time off requests, and trade requests in Paycom.
Creates and maintains forms necessary for completion of scheduler's task including timecard and invoice review and completion.
Respects the confidentiality and dignity of staff and residents.
Ensure all new employee orientation schedules are on staffing sheet.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree required and Bachelor degree preferred in a related field
- Staff Scheduling required
- Experience utilizing Paycom scheduling software in a healthcare/patient care environment, preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office application software – Word & Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain productivity with numerous interruptions and an independent thinker.
- Demonstrates a caring attitude towards both internal and external customers.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, lift and move intermittently throughout the work day throughout the facility.
Must be able to work outside of normal work hours including early evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed to meet facility and position demands.
