This position is for a part time (16hrs/wk) Administrative Assistant II - Asset Management Programs to work at EAH Corporate in San Rafael, CA. This is a hybrid position. This is a temporary role for up to six months. Qualified candidates will have an Associate’s degree or equivalent certification from an accredited university or technical institution in liberal arts, business, accounting, public administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have 2 years of Affordable Housing Project or Program Management. Experience in property management, affordable housing, government regulatory agency, accounting, or finance is desired. Position pays between $26.00/hr to $36.00/hr. DOE

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under general supervision, provides analytical and specialized Program support for the Gates Cooperative project. Works with Asset Management staff and other EAH departments’ staff facilitating program compliance and administration. Supports EAH efforts to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, lenders, partners, regulators, and government agencies. Understands and supports EAH Housing mission and core values. This is a temporary role for up to six months.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews Gates Cooperative (Gates) files and identifies what can be purged and what can be saved digitally.
- Certifies income levels of Gates members for the purposes of determining eligibility for berth rent subsidy; provides information to the Gates Board of Directors (BOD) to determine the amounts of subsidies.
- Notifies Waldo Point Harbor (WPH) of the BOD’s allocation of subsidies.
Determines which Gates members have not signed all necessary loan documents and obtain signatures when possible. - Provides assistance in loan administration, updates to registration in the event of transfer of title of boats or loan payoffs.
- Determines which Gates boats are not registered and work with the owners to have them registered with the State
- Obtains copies of any evidence of insurance that may be in place (acquiring insurance is the owners' responsibilities).
- Obtains copies of any signed leases between WPH and the Gates member (responsibility for securing signed lease is WPH's and owner's).
- Notifies WPH in writing of a rent increase on the Railroad Property (parking lot) by September 1, 2022.
- Meets with the Gates BOD to notify them of the scope of work and their responsibilities.
- Notifies the Gates BOD regarding unresponsive or uncooperative members. Turns over management of unresponsive members to BOD.
- Assists with disbursement of funds as approved by the Gates BOD.
- Actively participates in mandatory trainings, EAH’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Ability to work as a member of a team and in a collaborative manner with staff, peers, and supervisor.
- Ability to work independently and independently manage workload.
- Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Capacity to become proficient as end user of SmartSheet and Yardi
- Above average written and oral communication skills, including grammar and punctuation.
- Attention to detail and accuracy. Pride in work product.
- Curious, seeking new knowledge and ways to contribute to accomplishing EAH’s mission.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education - Associates degree or equivalent certification from an accredited university or technical institution in liberal arts, business, accounting, public administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS
EAH Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who have received a conditional job offer. Once you have receive such an offer, you will be required to submit and pass our criminal background requirements. Please be advised that certain roles may also require fingerprinting due to legal requirements. If onsite housing is a requirement of the position, any household members over 18 years of age who will be living onsite with the candidate must also undergo a criminal background check and tenant screening. Satisfactory completion of background check and fingerprinting requirements is a requirement of employment with EAH.
