Responsibilities for Charge Nurse:
- Assist with the care of patients - hands-on and administratively
- Capable of being successful functioning with admin and hands-on clinical day to day along with serving as a leader for the Surgery Center
- Prepare staff schedule
- Assign available staff to specific patients
- Coach and mentor other departmental staff
- Ensure proper care supplies are on hand and handle all inventory needs

- May assist the Director o Nursing with personnel conflicts or concerns
- Log care statists
Qualifications for Charge Nurse
- 7 years experience in the nursing field
- Proven strong leadership skills
- Excellent organizational capability
- A genuine sense of compassion
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs
- Familiarity with Windows based computer systems
- Experience with healthcare data software
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Capable of working on your feet for 8-12 hrs
