Director of Educator Solutions

JOB SUMMARY  

The Director of Educator Solutions constructs and leads job-embedded learning programs which enable adult learners to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies to productively contribute to the growth and development of children birth to age five in out-of-home early learning settings. In an effective and appealing manner and through the application of tested instructional design theories, practice and methods, the Director is responsible for ensuring early childhood educators are prepared to achieve at high levels consistently with ELI’s core beliefs about children and their families.

• Lead a team to design and execute innovative professional learning pathways for early childhood educators connected to applicable research and ELI’s approach to teaching and learning 
• Ensure educator preparation pathways are dynamic and rigorous incorporating applied skills and job-embedded learning to ensure a competent early childhood workforce 
• Promote and integrate ELI’s educator preparation pathways into new and existing state and national structures,  
• Align ELI’s work with applicable state and national competencies and benchmarks 
• Coordinate with institutions of higher education to ensure professional learning is industry recognized and stackable 
• Secure subject matter experts to ensure depth and breadth of content development; 
• Apply tested adult learning theories, practices and methods to enhance retention of knowledge and the transfer of knowledge from theory to application 
• Establish assessment instruments used to judge a learner’s performance 
• Coordinate, record and disseminate the evaluation of efficacy of professional learning programs and the use the information to guide future work 
• Coordinate with marketing and communications and external engagement team to promote ELI’s professional learning opportunities for early childhood educators 
• In coordination with ELI finance team, establish and maintain project budgets 
• Keep abreast of development and research in the field of adult learning, instructional best practices and organizational development to provide ELI with the highest quality of professional learning
