Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Online position. The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Online is to provide assistance to the dean with regards to hiring and staffing online courses. The Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Online will work directly with the Dean of Online, the Assistant Dean of Online, an HR specialist, the adjunct specialist, and other administrative assistants in a team environment.
This is a full-time position based at our Steubenville Ohio campus with the option of remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with correspondence to adjunct faculty to assign course sections.
- Assist with maintaining adjunct faculty database/spreadsheet.
- Assist with adding adjunct faculty to Student Information System, Campus Cloud.
- Respond to adjunct faculty with acceptance of courses.
- Assist with compiling spreadsheets of adjunct contracts, missing HR documents and sensitive HR materials.
- Assist with maintaining list of deactivated adjuncts and assist with reactivation if necessary.
- Assist with delivering adjunct faculty evaluations via email to new adjunct faculty each term.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative assistant experience preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak enrollment periods.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
